Hard lessons about modern evangelicalism from Dr. John West, Vice President of the Discovery Science Institute and author of "Stockholm Syndrome Christianity"
“you know what they're doing is wrong, and you're writing a check. This may seem simple, but I have to tell you the number of, I'm not going to name names here, but philanthropists of Christians who are heavy hitters in various ways who themselves are personally Orthodox, but who are bankrolling bad things”
Gary North used to complain about this frequently in his writings, how so many donors just stayed on autopilot and bankrolled the destruction of Christian institutions. Of course, the foundations are probably the worst, but even individual Christians need to be really scrutinizing where they give, as much as they would a potential investment, because that's what your donations really are.
That's true. In addition, there are a lot of donors who are solid in their faith but they just don't have the theological chops to understand what is happening.

The Center for Science and Culture does great work. I've known John for about 8 years and I appreciate his boldness and courage to speak out.
