You might consider reading a book such as ‘Christ the Eternal Tao,’ written by an Orthodox hieromonk. This book does a good job of showing how there is a very old tradition within the church of recognizing that God’s True Logos has made itself known in many times and places, to varying degrees. A Christianity that cannot see the beauty, wisdom, nobility, and authentic God-contact within other wisdom traditions won’t get us very far, in terms of bringing Christ’s Love to the world, “on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

The idea of God electing some for salvation while condemning others to eternal damnation before they are even born is not only unscriptural but very much like the newage idea that it's that person's karmic destiny.
The doctrine is accused of fostering spiritual elitism, narcissism, and a lack of compassion, with some arguing that it creates a cold, exclusionary religious system that destroys faith and human dignity.
Praying for your journey back to Christ, but please begin by getting as far away as possible from Calvinism. It is the "doctrine of demons" as warned in 1 Timothy 4:1.
