0 to 60: When Men Get Real From Day One

This group of Christian brothers isn't wasting time. One seat open for our next meeting.

The first meeting of my men’s group surprised me.

A group of 8 Christian brothers got on the call and immediately got real about their most personal challenges and struggles.

Usually it takes a couple weeks for men to warm up. Guys like to get a feel for each other. You know how it is.

Not in this group. In the first meeting, we went straight to the heart of the matter. I was blown away.

It was like watching a car go from 0-60 in three seconds.

But what does this mean in real terms?

First, it means that the group has chemistry. I can’t plan that part; that’s in God’s hands. He’s clearly brought together a group of men who know how to be in communion with each other.

Second, it means that the group has trust. I can’t give details, but let’s just say that everyone put something on the table during the first session. Including me. No one held back, putting us all “in it” together.

Third, it means we’re going to get real work done. If that’s where we started, think about where we’ll go? Imagine this group of Christian brothers supporting each other through wins and losses, ups and downs, and life transitions together for months… or even years?

I’m excited for the possibilities.
